It did have an odor when I first received it but after about 4 months I realized I don’t smell it any more. It arrived crushed on one side so I doesn’t stand up correctly. I had hoped that with use and the weight of contents it would relax and straighten up but, no. It’s always collapsed to one side. And this thing is HEAVY before you put anything in it. I try not to carry a lot of things in my bag anyway because I hate digging through a bunch of junk to find my phone, car fob, sunglasses, wallet, keys. I keep it minimal but even then, this bag is a lot to carry. I wouldn’t buy another for myself or as a gift.
